At Joy Unlimited, we want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. If for any reason you are not happy with your order, we are here to help. Please read our Return & Refund Policy carefully before making a purchase.

1. Return Eligibility

We accept returns within 30 days of the delivery date. To be eligible for a return, your item must meet the following conditions:

  • The item must have been purchased directly from Joy Unlimited.
  • The book must be in the same condition as received — unread or minimally read, with no additional damage beyond what was described at the time of purchase.
  • The item must be in its original packaging where applicable.
  • Proof of purchase (order confirmation or receipt) must be provided.

Non-Returnable Items

The following items are not eligible for return:

  • Items returned after the 30-day return window has passed.
  • Items that have been damaged by the customer after delivery.
  • Items marked as final sale at the time of purchase.
  • Gift cards.

2. How to Initiate a Return

To start a return, please follow these steps:

  1. Contact us at contact.joyunlimited@gmail.com or call us at +1 (703) 385-9125 within 30 days of receiving your order.
  2. Include your order number, the item(s) you wish to return, and the reason for the return.
  3. We will review your request and respond within 2 business days with return instructions and the return shipping address.
  4. Securely pack the item and ship it back to us using a trackable shipping method.

Please do not send your return without first contacting us. Returns sent without prior authorization may not be processed.

3. Return Shipping

Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer, unless the return is due to our error (for example, you received a wrong or damaged item). We recommend using a trackable shipping service. Joy Unlimited is not responsible for items lost in transit during the return process.

4. Refunds

4.1 Refund Approval

Once we receive and inspect your returned item, we will notify you by email of the approval or rejection of your refund. Inspection is typically completed within 3 business days of receiving the return.

4.2 Refund Processing

If your return is approved, a refund will be issued to your original payment method. Refunds are processed through Shopify Payments and may take 5 to 10 business days to appear on your statement, depending on your bank or card issuer.

4.3 Partial Refunds

In some situations, only a partial refund may be granted, including:

  • Items returned with visible additional wear or damage not noted in the original listing.
  • Items returned outside the 30-day window on a case-by-case basis at our discretion.

4.4 Late or Missing Refunds

If you have not received your refund within 10 business days of our approval notice, please:

  1. Check your bank account or credit card statement again.
  2. Contact your bank or card issuer, as processing times may vary.
  3. If you have done the above and still have not received your refund, please contact us at contact.joyunlimited@gmail.com.

5. Exchanges

We do not offer direct exchanges at this time. If you would like a different item, please return the original item for a refund and place a new order.

6. Damaged or Incorrect Items

We take great care in describing and packaging our books. However, if you receive an item that is significantly different from its description, or damaged during shipping, please contact us within 7 days of delivery at contact.joyunlimited@gmail.com with:

  • Your order number
  • A description of the issue
  • Photos of the item and packaging if applicable

We will work with you to resolve the issue promptly, which may include a full refund or a replacement at no additional cost to you.

7. Cancellations

If you wish to cancel your order, please contact us as soon as possible at contact.joyunlimited@gmail.com. We will do our best to cancel your order before it ships. If your order has already been shipped, you will need to follow the standard return process once the item is delivered.
